bank nifty jan expiry future today closed at 12872 with gains of 20 points or 0.16%.today bank nifty with gap down opening hit low of 12760 while high was 12883.total 115 points intraday movement with 1% drop in open interest on account of short covering.bank nifty spot closed at 12787.

as we recommended,bank nifty almost achieved 12750 on downside but as 12780 was major hourly support,we seen short covering triggered in market as soon as future dips below it.

on chart bank nifty future given reversal signs and now above 12780 stay long for targets 12910 to 13100 while if opens below 12780 or slips below it in intraday then only go short with strict stoploss.
