market view: 8425 is trailing stop loss for shorts

Nifty July future today closed at 8369 with heavy loss of 165 points. As expected sharp selloff happened today and nifty heading to test 8260 and below levels. Today nifty hit high around 8504 while low was at 8365. Total 140 points intraday range and closed with loss. 10% cut in profit booking suggest near expiry long unwinding with strong profit booking pressure from investors. Nifty 8500 call option writing continues. For tomorrow 8425 is trailing stop loss for intraday targets 8300 and 8180.
Banknifty July future today closed at 18268 with loss of 410 points. In intraday banknifty high was at 18600 while low was at 18215. Total 400 points intraday range and closed with sharp loss. Almost 10% cut in open interest shows near expiry unwinding as well as profit booking from investors. Option side 18500 call option writing continues. For tomorrow 18560 is trailing stop loss for all shorts for target 17700 and below.
In nifty 50 stocks, TATASTEEL and HEROMOTOCO tumbled by 5%. Almost 6 stocks hit fresh 52 weeks low today in nifty which suggest overall investor’s mood towards market. In gainers side, TECHM closed with 2% gains while ZEEL continue to see demand. In F&O market, SUNTV and IBULHSGFIN are top gainers while JPPOWER and IOB lost 7-8%. In buzzing stocks, LUMAX and JINDALSAW show 20% circuit today.
