Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback might arrive in the Indian market As the hatchback segment has been witnessing great demand from the domestic market, the Mitsubishi might introduce Mitsubishi Mirage in the country. With the increasing demand for the hatchback segment in India, the company will get a good market for its Mirage Hatch. A well-known Japanese automaker might introduce the Mirage hatch in the country. As Nissan has acquired the 34 percent stake in the Mitsubishi Motors with a 2.2 billion deal, the company will be betting big for the markets with greater potential such as India. Japanese automaker will be looking to develop its products locally under the Renault – Nissan facility and the automaker is focusing to roll out several new products under the Nissan’s network. Mitsubishi Mirage will go against the likes of Hyundai Grand i10, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo and others in the same segment. The Mirage hatch is likely to go on sale next year for the global market, the company might introduce the next generation Mirage if they plan to introduce the hatch in the country. 2016 Mirage is its reworked front fascia. Mitsubishi did away with the soft-edged, friendly face and instead, opted for a slightly more mature look. The new headlights and bigger front grill spices things up for the hatchback, along with the chrome-trimmed front bumper. This being the range-topping GLS, it comes standard with HID illumination which makes for better visibility during night driving. Mirage is the familiar 1.2-liter 3A92 MIVEC three-cylinder engine. The motor still delivers 78 PS at 6000 rpm along with 100 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. Available transmissions are the 5-speed manual gearbox and a continuously variable transmission (CVT), which this particular model has. 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage is expected to get number of safety oriented features such 7 SRS airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and brake assist, tire pressure monitoring system, active stability control with traction control. New 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage is expected to carry a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder engine which can easily develop 78bhp of max power @ 6000rpm against the peak torque of 100Nm @ 4000rpm.The transmission duties will be carried out by 5-speed manual and a CVT gearbox. The car will be powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder engine producing 78bhp @ 6000rpm and 100Nm of torque at 4000rpm. The customers can choose either 5-speed manual or CVT gearbox. The company will be pricing the Mirage hatch in the range of Rs 5 – 8 lakh (ex-showroom).
