Nickel futures trade lower on MCX

Nickel futures traded lower on MCX despite speculators created fresh positions following a firming trend at the London Metal Exchange (LME) where base metals strengthened as investors await industrial production data from China.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 863.20, down by 0.20% or Rs 1.70 from its previous closing of Rs 864.90. The open interest of the contract stood at 12600.00 lots.

The contract for July delivery was trading at Rs 870.50, down by 0.27% or Rs 2.40 from its previous closing of Rs 872.90. The open interest of the contract stood at 474.00 lots on MCX.
